What we’re doing

Our idea is pretty simple: we want to hear America’s first love stories. Whether it was your first crush in the fourth grade or the person you married, just about everyone has a first love story to tell. As two people in love (and not for the first time) we want to collect these stories as we make our way across America. From state to state, the cultural differences within our country are striking. So we wonder: will there be anything universal about these first loves? No topic could be more personal, and we look forward to hearing some of America’s many stories.
